Derek Wahila

Derek graduated from Carnegie Mellon with degrees in graphic design and computer science. In 2001, he started Wahila Creative, a web design and development firm, currently with six employees in Pittsburgh…  and clients around the country. He's founded, or been a part of, tech startups in Pittsburgh for the last 20 years.

Derek has been building web sites and web applications since the mid-90s and is as excited about solving those problems today as he was then. He's a practical, level-headed, and stubborn individual. Listening, quickly assimilating new information, and asking provoking questions to come to conclusions are hobbies of his. He also really enjoys a good pun.
