You'll have time to connect with former classmates, faculty, staff and other members of the HCI field at social events during the weekend. The two main, can't-miss events are Friday and Saturday nights.
Friday, Master's of HCI Reception
4:30–6:30 p.m., 300 South Craig Street, Second Floor
The Masters of HCI program invites both alumni and all visitors to come mingle at our space. Nostalgic nibbles and beverages will be served, silly props and snapshots await at our photo booth, and our walls will feature the latest creations by our current master's students.
Friday, Opening Reception
7–10 p.m., 407 South Craig Street
After the workshops— or if you’re just getting into town — stop by our Opening Reception from 7 to 10 p.m. at the HCII’s newest lab space, 407 South Craig Street. Cocktails and dinner are on the agenda, as well as showing off our latest and greatest gadgets and gizmos.
Saturday, Grand Banquet (Sponsored by Bloomberg)
6:30–7:30 p.m. Cocktails; 7:30–10 p.m., Dinner
Omni William Penn Hotel (downtown)
We’ll take a break from research talks and panels to celebrate in style. Cocktails begin at 7 p.m., and human-centered design champion Don Norman will provide the dinner keynote. We’ll wrap around 10 p.m., so there’s still plenty of time to hit the new Pittsburgh Downtown with your old friends and rest up for Sunday’s morning session.
Stay tuned for more details as HCII20 approaches!
