Adjunct Instructor-Digital Service Innovation
Faculty Position at CMU
The Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University is pleased to announce an adjunct faculty opening to co-teach the Digital Service Innovation course. The adjunct will attend class two days per week where they participate in lectures, discuss readings and facilitate critiques. They will arrive about 20 minutes before class starts to confer with their co-teacher and meet for about 20 minutes after class to assess how class went, identify improvement opportunities and adjust plans for upcoming classes. Outside of class adjuncts will use the Canvas learning management system to grade student projects, prepare the assignments, and reply to students’ discussions of assigned reading. They will meet individual students and teams in-person or remotely to discuss their work. Adjuncts must be available on both Monday and Wednesday from 7:40am to 10:10am. Class starts at 8am and concludes at 9:50am.
