What's ahead of CALO Stardust?
Here are several features the team has envisioned CALO Stardust to have in the future.
Task Relationship
Task relationships is a graphical visualization of the user’s tasks and the relationships between them. The closer the tasks are, the stronger their associations and bigger the tasks are more urgent they are. The pending tasks are represented with connecting arrows to indicate tasks' dependencies among each other.
Transfer of Knowledge
As CALO adapts to user’s behavior, it inevitably learns industry or company specific standards. These knowledge could be transferable to other employees within an organization so that the time to train each CALO the same principles is greatly reduced.
Collaboration: Assistant and executive
Collaboration is a large area of research that CALO has yet to fully tap into. One concept is to maintain the relationship between executives and assistants. Although CALO mimics many of the actions that an assistant would take, CALO is meant to support the relationship between the executives and assistants rather than replace the need for assistants. Through our research, we’ve found that assistants usually have access to the executive’s calendar and email in order to better serve and organize them. By giving assistants access to an executive’s CALO, an assistant would be able parse the information constantly coming to the executive and share these important tasks and events directly through the sidebar.
CALO Mobile
Although CALO Stardust can do a lot, currently it's not very portable. Who those who don't spend majority of their time in front of a computer, a PDA-type device that could sync up with the users' computer would be more beneficial. While docked, the PDA would act as a second screen that the user could seamlessly interact with from the main monitor. The second screen would display the sidebar for the user to add tasks and resources. When the user is away from the desk, CALO mobile is still active to remind the user of time-sensitive events along with constant access to important information. Coupled with other capabilities like CALO’s Meeting Assistant which automatically transcribes meetings and creates action items, CALO mobile could be a impressive device.
