CMU MHCI

We are a group of graduate students at Carnegie Mellon University in the program. Our goal is to meet people where they are at, understand their pain points and joys, and build off our understanding to design solutions that meet their needs and improve lives. The MHCI program is a rigorous 12-month graduate degree

Talk, the New Sex-Ed

Teaching kids about relationships, consent, and safer sex is essential for young people to become sexually healthy, aware, responsible adults, and is glaringly absent from the majority of teens’ education. Talk, The New Sex Ed is a non-profit conceived by CMU alumni Samantha Bushman to challenge conventional notions of sexuality education, how it should be taught, and what it means to be “at risk” for making poor relationship and sexual health decisions. Talk’s program has been delivered to 5,000 middle and high school students and 1,200 parents through 11 school partnerships in the Pittsburgh region since its inception in 2010.
