Project Manager | Gem Bleasdell
After completing High School, Gem Bleasdell became a High School Teacher. Two years later while preparing for the SATs, she began an Administrative job that quickly transformed into a Graphic Arts Position. Toward the end of her BSc, she researched the HCI program at CMU and found it to be a perfect fit. With this degree and a few years of experience she plans to return to her homeland and open an HCI & Business Consulting Firm. She hopes to assist the Caribbean region in becoming more compatible with the technological strides of the rest of the world.
User Test Lead | Korina Loumidi
Korina completed the International Baccalaureate program at her high school in Greece. She has managed to complete her B.S. in Information Systems in three and a half years and is currently finishing her M.S. in Human- Computer Interaction this summer. During the past four years besides schoolwork Korina has explored multiple opportunities such as working at the Marketing Department of the largest wine producer of Greece, attending a technical summer school program at the Athens Information Technology and spending a whole academic semester in Greece.
Client Liaison & Documents Lead | Adam Matthews
Adam completed his undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia, majoring in Cognitive Systems- a combination of computer science, linguistics, philosophy, and psychology. This interdisciplinary program led quite naturally into Human-Computer Interaction, and after taking an undergraduate course in it he decided to pursue it at the graduate level. Adam enjoys working with other people, and has held several service- oriented jobs, including in restaurants and with the Government of Canada.
Technical Lead | Bharathi Pitti
Bharathi Pitti is a major in Computer Science and Mathematics. During her undergrad, she got an opportunity to work as an intern in Microsoft Research India, Bangalore for a year. This is when she got introduced to HCI and became very interested and decided to pursue her masters in HCI. She also has experience in working as a project member for a year with a software company that is a service provider, whose main focus is on providing IT solutions to companies world wide.
Design Lead & Web Master | Ceren Sakizli
Ceren Sakızlı did her undergrad in Computer Engineering. Then she started working at an advertising agency (Leo Burnett) as junior motion graphics designer. After working there for 7 months, she joined IBM where she worked as a business consultant. She is currently in the MHCI program and her objective is to work as a user experience designer where she can combine her computer science skills, HCI expertise, her passion for design, along with her business experience.
