Our Team

Jia Liu is an experience designer and research strategist working at the intersection of design, business, and social impact. He’s developed products, programs, and services across K-12 and higher education, including innovative learning experiences at Coursera, a global online learning platform, and managing and growing a non-pro t college prep program for low-income students. He started his career as a high school science teacher and remains involved in educational causes. He graduated with distinction with a BA in molecular and cell biology from the University of California, Berkeley.

Selin Insel is a product designer with a focus on inclusive design. She is interested in creating products that address user needs through a data driven approach. She graduated from Koc University in Industrial Engineering and worked as a consultant at a healthcare information technology company in Istanbul.

Jeong Min Seo is pursuing UX Design and HCI at CMU. He has worked with companies such as FCA, Phillips, UPMC and Tiramisu as a product designer and UX researcher. During research, he specialized in qualitative research and front-end development.

Daphne Tan graduated from Cornell University in Economics and since then, worked at an enterprise analytics company in Washington DC specializing in product and customer experience. There, she created onboarding materials, taught users how to use new product features, and redesigned the online support community. Within HCI, she has interests in creating productivity/ collaborative tools and human-robot interaction.

Ishaan Kolluri is a technologist passionate about building elegant products that improve the trust between people and the cutting edge of innovation. As a researcher & engineer at Robinhood, a stock trading platform, he conducted user research that directly impacted the company’s strategic direction, and implemented core product features. He is currently researching how to ease society into a future with autonomous vehicles. He graduated with a BS in Computer Science from Columbia University.
