Heuristic Evaluation
We conducted a heuristic evaluation of a new version of AIR's website, developed prior to this project and released during our research phase, prior to its release. During a heuristic evaluation, evaluators analyze a website in terms of a set of established usability principles. As individuals, we combed through the beta site, assessing it with respect to Jakob Nielsen’s Ten Heuristics of Usability.
We then consolidated our findings, assigning severity ratings for each violation and suggesting possible solutions for each one. We documented issues with the website’s content and organization, and the development team addressed the highest-priority issues before releasing the site.
