Design Overview

The design phase of this project repeatedly alternated between periods of generation and of evaluation. We began with background research and extensive ideation, then launched into the first of these cycles. Each round of design began with idea generation, building on both the previous round of evaluation and on new inspiration. Based on these discussions, we either refined the current prototype or constructed a new one, with the prototypes gaining fidelity as the design matured.

We tested each prototype with potential or actual website visitors, and with others in the usability field, including an analysis of and reflection on the results of testing. This process assures that the final deliverables have been rigorously tested and incorporate the needs and feedback of numerous users.
