Vision

A website for AIR that
  • showcases expertise,
  • radiates humanity, and
  • functions as a worthy information resource.

After synthesizing our user research, we discussed potential directions for the website and drew out three major themes to guide the redesign. The vision we devised originates in AIR's mission, "…to conduct and apply behavioral and social science research to improve people's lives and well-being, with a special emphasis on the disadvantaged." We decided to approach the mission from three angles: expertise, humanity, and knowledge.

The website should showcase AIR's expertise, informing potential clients and orienting the general public to AIR's capabilities. It should also reflect AIR's dedication to people and their lives, projecting an image of warmth and welcome. Lastly, the site has potential to be a valuable information resource for policymakers, media, other researchers, and practitioners in the fields where AIR works. Improving the information architecture and navigation would help to disseminate AIR's research. In these ways, the website can become a vital part of AIR's overall impact on the world.
