AR Remote Support

Facilitating a shared view of the environment for remote troubleshooting

"Yes I would absolutely use this on a call.” - Customer Integrity Team Member

What does it solve?

Remote Experts provide support to on-site customers and service engineers via phone and email, but often these modes are inadequate to convey context. This often leads to misunderstandings and multiple back-and-forth messages.

AR Call for On-Site Technicians

Enables AR call between on-site technician and remote support whenever required for expertise and knowledge transfer. Details about the on-site worker are displayed to convey context of their problem - e.g. type of location, role, previous history. Voice interaction is enhanced by tools such as annotation, subtitles for noisy environments, and 3D manuals.

Live annotation for facilitating communication

The augmented reality headset that the on-site worker wears allows their view to be shared with the remote support team and enhanced with overlaid information. The on-site worker can use the same tools as the CIT member, including annotation, subtitles, and 3D manuals.

Infrared and Wiring Diagram Views

The AR View enables both the on-site technician as well as the remote support person to get a view of wring diagram or infra-red view of the gear if required.
