Ashish Gurung

I am a researcher at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. My core research focuses on optimizing the use of technology in classrooms to enhance learning experiences by augmenting teacher capabilities. My current research explores various aspects of Computer-Based Learning Platforms (CBLPs), specifically the components that interface with teachers. This involves streamlining classroom orchestration, developing crowdsourcing tools for efficient feedback and instruction generation, and investigating teacher assessment of student work. I'm interested in exploring how various factors at the teacher, class, and student levels might contribute to biased and unfair evaluations.
