HCII Ph.D. Students Win Best Paper Award at UbiComp

PhD students Sauvik Das and Eiji Hayashi, along with their advisor Jason Hong, won a best paper award at the 2013 ACM International Joint Conference on Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing (UbiComp'13).
Their paper, “Exploring Capturable Everyday Memory for Autobiographical Authentication”, details how to use the intersection of smartphone logs and human memory to authenticate users into digital devices by asking questions such as “Who did you call yesterday at 2pm?”
