Continuous authentication benefits cardholders with the potential for quicker checkouts and more layers of protection against identity theft and fraud. However, research showed that current common mental model is that authentication is binary -- you're either logged in or you're not. The team ultimately provided user experience guidelines for designing a consumer-facing product leveraging continuous authentication.
