The centerpiece of the MHCI program is the seven-month Capstone Project.

The Capstone is modeled on a consulting engagement in which interdisciplinary student teams partner directly with organizations to solve complex technology challenges.

Sponsors define the business challenge. Student teams, guided by an expert faculty mentor, lead the engagement from discovery through delivery. Working closely with stakeholders, they conduct rigorous research, identify new opportunities, balance business objectives with user needs, prototype and evaluate solutions, and deliver strategic recommendations grounded in evidence.
