Lauren Allen
Past Postdoctoral Fellow
Lauren recently received her Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in Learning Sciences and Education Policy. Her research focuses on learning in complex areas of science and human society. At Carnegie Mellon, she is researching learning among citizen scientists and the networks of organizations that support them, specifically around biological monitoring of water quality through macroinvertebrate identification (www.macroinvertebrates.org). She is also directs science content and learning programs at the Center for PostNatural History (www.postnatural.org).
