Course Description

The objective of this course is to strengthen HCI students' communication skills to prepare them for work in industry.

Seminar Component: To expose students to the world of HCI through research and industry expert talks with written assignments.

Conflict Management Component: To educate students on conflict management, teamwork, active listening skills, and communication skills in order to give them tools to collaborate and work more efficiently on multi-disciplinary teams.

Professional Series Component: To expose students to the world of HCI through guest speakers, prepare students to navigate job hunting through resume and portfolio workshops and to provide industry insights into HCI and the profession through guest speakers and panel discussions.
