Description
"Accelerating Research Translation into Design Practice Using Generative AI"
Many valuable insights embedded in scientific publications are siloed and rarely translated into results that can directly benefit humans. This contributes to the so-called research-practice gaps, impedes the diffusion of innovation, undermines evidence-based decision-making, and contributes to the disconnect between science and the public. In this talk, I will discuss the research on translational science that my research group has been working on over the past few years. I will present findings on barriers that prevent the successful adoption of research insights into design practice and introduce AI-powered tools to facilitate translational work.
