Description

We are in the midst of a transition from book culture to digital culture. We are beginning to explore what digital media affords us, with some intriguing results. With communication as a constant goal, I have challenged my students over the past decade to include time as a design element, in addition to type and images. I will share some thoughts and examples of this exploration into time-based communication design, as it has evolved out of graphic design and visual communication. The results, from kinetic typography to interface design, will illustrate my presentation.
