Description

User Experience and Interaction Design: Stories from the trenches This title is a blanket excuse to tell stories about the workaday life of HCI / Design professionals. Our beloved and highly principled processes, tools and techniques change from their textbook form when they enter the context of a typical project. This talk will attempt to give insight into what it takes to attempt Great Work in industry, touching on issues of process, team composition and collaboration, stakeholder communication, etc. I’ll draw from projects in consulting firms, product companies, startups and the Fortune 50 to describe a few Tools That Seem To Work, and a few Things That Are Surprisingly Difficult.
