HCII Students Act Out in "Once Upon a Mattress"
News
The HCII's Amy Shannon (left) tread the boards as Queen Aggravain and first-year Ph.D. student Judy Oden Choi (right) helped produce the show when a group of School of Computer Science students performed "Once Upon a Mattress" last month. The production featured students from across the college at all levels — undergraduate, master's and Ph.D. — and a few friends from other Carnegie Mellon departments.
When not involved in theatrical productions, Shannon, also a first-year Ph.D. student, works with HCII faculty members Jessica Hammer and Steven Dow on topics related to technology and role-playing in design. Choi works with Hammer and HCII Professor Jodi Forlizzi on research related to role-playing and playtesting.
