HCII Professor Brad Myers appeared in the New York Times Magazine section’s “Who Made that Autocorrect?” on Friday, June 6. In the article, which traces the history of fixing text as it's typed, Myers notes that the idea of autocorrect dates back to the 1960s, when a computer scientist came up with a computing philosophy called D.W.I.M., or “Do What I Mean.” Read the whole article here.
