Session Descriptions
Meet & Greet - Throughout the full event, we will have an informal meet and greet room where registered guests can stop by to chat with our student hosts. Participants can visit for advice about what activities to join, to ask questions about our programs, or just to see what our students are like.
Lab Talks - Each lab will prepare a short talk about their group’s research and present this to attendees. There will be time for questions at the end of the lab talks.
Lab Visits - Some of our research labs will invite visitors to sit in on their virtual lab meetings this week to give an inside look at the HCII. The full list of participating labs and their meeting times will be provided with the registration confirmation details.
BIPOC Community Hour - This is a breakout session for HCII BIPOC faculty, staff, current students, and prospective students, where they can discuss what it’s like to be at the HCII. Meeting information for these invite-only sessions will be shared with those who register separately for this BIPOC session.
Help with Next Steps - Participants who attended at least one session during the event or express strong interest have the opportunity to request support with the application process, such as joining an application peer feedback group.
