David is a Chief Human Scientist and a senior designer and researcher. He focuses on assisting MAYA’s clients to improve their practice of human-centered design (HCD) and elevating their level of maturity with respect to designing user experiences. He is a mentor, evangelist, speaker, author, and facilitator; part of MAYA’s strong voice in HCD.
David’s priorities include metrics for continuous improvement as well as usability metrics for efficiency, effectiveness, and satisfaction. He is particularly interested in the positive effects that come from having the fortitude to resist feature creep and the insistence to focus on features that users truly need. David guides research at MAYA regarding new modes of user interaction and information visualization, as well as design practice and high-ROI usability methods.
