Eugene Danilkis
MHCI Alumni
Class of 2008
I was originally born in Kharkov, Ukraine and came to Canada when I was seven years old. During my undergrad at UBC in Vancouver I worked part-time and in the summers as a web-developer. After graduation, I started working at MDA as a software engineer and team lead developing operational control software for the Canadarm2 and the SPDM on the International Space Station. In addition to my work as an engineer, I am very interested in photography. I have been shooting for fun for a few years, but also have been hired for fashion, runway and wedding photography. This part of my life might have to be put on hold while I persue my Masters in HCI. In my spare time I love playing sports including volleyball, hockey, tennis, squash, skiing and I’ll try pretty much most anything else. I love traveling and hope to have a chance to do explore Europe some more during or after the Madeira program.
