John Beck

John serves as the Director of Product Design for Truefit, a software product development firm headquartered in Pittsburgh. He leads design operations in support of multiple cross-functional product teams — helping designers manage successful, human-centered discovery and delivery efforts for a broad range of startup and enterprise clients in diverse markets such as robotics, healthcare, industrial and financial services.

Prior to Truefit, John was a co-founder and design lead for Gist Design, a successful UX design and research consultancy serving large enterprise clients such as McDonald’s, Precor, Samsung, Rolls-Royce, and Kodak. John was also a part of the original startup team for BodyMedia — a pioneer in wearable computing — where he served as senior interaction designer.

John is a graduate of the MDES program at Carnegie Mellon’s School of Design.
