Meryam Elmir is a Research Associate at Carnegie Mellon University's Human-Computer Interaction Institute, contributing to course development for the Learning Sciences for Innovators (LSFI) series and collaborating on research under Ken Koedinger in the CMU Simon Initiative. With a Master’s in Physics and experience as a high school IB Physics teacher, Meryam brings a unique blend of deep subject knowledge and teaching expertise to her work. As a Learning Engineering student in the METALS program at CMU, she focuses on understanding how people think and learn to create impactful, tech-driven educational experiences that engage learners and transform Physics education into an accessible, interactive process that fosters curiosity and critical thinking.
