Philip Marchetti

Philip is a product manager at Pittsburgh-based SaaS startup, Maven Machines where he leads cross-functional teams to develop solutions within their suite of Fleet Operations and Telematics products. He takes pride in implementing human-centered design approaches to create novel technical solutions to modernize operations for their trucking/logistics customers—and allow them to run their businesses more effectively through improved data visibility & user experience. Philip has also served as an Adjunct Instructor developing and teaching design thinking & innovation-focused courses at Iona College (now Iona University) and the CMU Integrated Innovation Institute (III).

Academically trained in architecture & business (B.Arts, Kentucky), he made the transition into tech product management after obtaining his graduate degree from the CMU III. He has spent his career at the intersection of product management and innovation practices working for companies like Aurora, Uber ATG, NBCUniversal, Verizon, and others in New York City and Pittsburgh.

Outside of his professional life, he enjoys run-training & racing half marathons, playing guitar in a band with his brother (as he has since childhood), and spending time with his wife, their three children, & their rescue pitbull. A native Pittsburgher, he is thrilled to have "boomeranged" back home in early 2020 to take part in the city's growing tech scene and re-engage with the CMU community.
