I design and build technologies that amplify human contact. I believe that social technologies when designed to activate our capacity to authentically express, authentically listen, empathize, and provide social support have the potential to improve belonging, participation, understanding, and collective action. So far, the domain in which I have been developing, testing, and applying these ideas is occupational communities: communities where people share a professional identity.
