I received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and spent three years there as an HIV Peer Test Counselor. To find out about what happened in the 17 years prior to UCSC, you’ll have to ask me. After graduating, I spent two years at Willow Garage, a robotics company in the Bay Area. I began at Willow Garage as an inventory manager, and later became a Human-Robot Interaction research assistant, and ultimately, technical writer and communications liaison. I own approximately six robot-themed Woot! shirts.
Whenever possible, I ski, backpack, apply ChapStick, and consume chai lattes.
