Women in Tech Discussion 6 October at 6:30 PM.
Human-computer interaction and design visionary Karen Holtzblatt will be joining the Human-Computer Interaction Institute for a 90 minute discussion on Women in Technology on October 6 at 6:30 PM. Karen is currently expanding the research, creating a measure, and identifying what companies can do to address the rampant problem of women leaving high tech. The goal of this informal event is to learn about the framework and contribute your experience to the conversation.

Karen Holtzblatt is best known for creating "Contextual Design,” an industry standard design process that uses extensive field data to understand customers’ needs, tasks, intents, and processes to design products that meet th needs of customers and business. After decades of practice Karen is now working to understand how to keep women in technology fully engaged and successful. Far too many leave the field midway through their careers or experience inhibitors to success.Her efforts started in 2014 at Stanford University where she developed a framework defining the factors that influence women’s joy and satisfaction at work.
