Shivang (Shiv) Gupta

Shivang (Shiv) Gupta is the Managing Director of PLUS, an award-winning tutoring program, at Carnegie Mellon University, where he leads strategic direction and oversees day-to-day operations. With more than a decade of international experience in education technology—spanning Hong Kong, India, Estonia, and the United States—he has guided cross-functional teams to apply cutting-edge learning science research to real-world practice. His work on the application of AI to enhance math tutoring has been published in leading academic venues, including the International Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Education and the ACM Conference on Learning@Scale. Shivang holds a Master’s in Education Technology from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
